The project

We like adjectives, but sometimes we like verbs, and these are what drove our founder, Laia, to open her own interior architecture studio. An idea that had been in her head for some time and which became a reality with the creation of a physical space in which to establish Laia Moreno Estudio.

A SPACE IN WHICH TO GROW

A space that would adapt to present needs, but also to future ones. A place that would accommodate Laia and her dog, but with the vocation of welcoming a team that would grow over time.

In this way, adaptation and transformation become one of the maxims of this project.

AN OASIS IN WHICH TO CREATE

Located on the ground floor, in the district of Sants-Montjuïc, in the city of Barcelona, the studio is conceived as a space for creation, an oasis in which colour and emotions give rise to new ways of inhabiting the workspaces, integrating rest areas, vegetation and boosting contact with the exterior.

The starting point is a large courtyard that enhances the entry of natural light. The intervention focuses on this courtyard, from which the rest of the space is articulated under the idea of transformation: allowing connectivity between the rooms and their separate functioning.

The space seeks to replicate as much as possible the original state of nature, to encourage productivity and reduce stress, through light, ventilation and the use of vegetation.

Another of the protagonists of the project is the colour that seeks to transmit joy, fun and the idea of adventure. Following the visual identity of Laia Moreno Estudio, blue, red and yellow become the colours that give shape and personality to the space through different materials and fabrics. We also use certain patterns in the decorative elements, such as stripes, to give rhythm and movement to the environment.

The use of a palette of primary colours seeks to transport us to our childhood and our most primitive instincts and opens up an infinite universe of colour possibilities.

A HEALTHY STUDIO

Finally, we were very conscious of the health of the space that was to host the study. As part of the process, we carried out a geobiology study to detect possible pathogenic areas and thus avoid exposure to radiation from groundwater.

In addition, we opted for the cable for the telecommunications installation (telephone, television and internet) to take care of the users in their working hours, promoting a safe and healthy activity.

A space with which to launch ourselves into the adventure in which Adjetivo Studio defines as {EMOTIONAL}.
